Qualified PLC Field Service Engineers/Installation Supervisors will have most of the following skills and experiences:

  • 2+ years of commissioning experience with systems that include automation and control systems and related equipment.
  • Solid understanding of multiple industrial drive manufacturers PLC troubleshooting, debugging and start up is required.
  • Previous skills overseeing subcontractors.
  • Significant combustion fault finding experience is a strong benefit- but training is available for well qualified candidates.
  • A BS or Associate degree is a benefit, but will consider equivalent relevant experience.
  • Must be able to travel 95%- travel is typically 2-3 week durations with reasonable downtime between projects. A current Passport is required.
  • Must be able to work in the US/travel internationally.

Project Engineer – Full Time

We are currently seeking a senior controls project engineer with experience in designing and implementing PLC-based industrial automation systems. You will be an integral team member that develops PLC applications, HMI’s, drive systems and information solutions for manufacturing customers. We are looking for a capable, creative and self-motivated professional who wants a career in automation systems integration.

Candidates must have the following qualifications and interests:

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Four years or more experience with designing and programming PLC systems.
  • Experience deploying and troubleshooting PLC’s and HMIs from Rockwell Automation and/or Siemens
  • Interest in becoming a subject matter expert or team leader with increasing responsibilities

The following experience or skills are considered a plus for this position:

Experience with manufacturing information software from Rockwell Automation, Wonderware, Siemens

  • Experience in implementing PLC controls with interfaces to industrial equipment
  • Motion control or coordinated drives experience
  • PMP certification
  • Programming experience with .NET, C#, SQL Server
  • Experience integrating control systems to applications such as ERP or quality systems

Bench Repair Technician – Full Time

As a bench repair technician, you will be responsible for testing and repairing a wide array of industrial drive products, equipment and parts in compliance with Excel Industrial Electronics’ procedures and the manufacturers’ specifications. The successful candidate will troubleshoot service and repair the equipment to a satisfactory operating condition.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct diagnostic and performance tests of components and equipment.
  • Rebuild and repair defective or damaged components of robotic and metro mechanical devices and systems.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and drawings.
  • Continue education regarding automation and controls functions and updates.
  • Notify manager daily on all projects, with regards to project status, completion time, and any problems that may have arisen during the course of the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and inventory.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations.
  • Deliver all products as directed to regional project managers and warehouse employees.
